Construction Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will join TIBBAT’s finance team in Gilgit‑Baltistan, Pakistan, handling day‑to‑day financial operations for construction projects. This full‑time, on‑site position ensures accurate recording, reporting and compliance to support project decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Record transactions, maintain ledgers and prepare periodic financial statements and reports.
• Process accounts payable and receivable, monitor project‑related expenses and perform bank reconciliations.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and cost‑control activities for construction projects.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations and internal controls.
• Assist with internal and external audits and financial reviews.
• Collaborate with project managers and senior leadership to provide timely financial information.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and general ledger management.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations and expense tracking.
• Understanding of local tax regulations and internal control practices.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to meet multiple deadlines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills in an on‑site environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (advantageous).
