Construction Site Engineer

About the role

Zeekam Construction Industries is seeking a qualified Construction Site Engineer to lead on‑site activities in Karachi. The role involves overseeing daily construction operations, ensuring projects meet quality, cost, and schedule targets while maintaining a safe work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise all on‑site construction tasks to meet agreed timelines, budget, and quality standards.
• Lead and manage a team of 20+ workers and subcontractors, providing guidance and motivation.
• Conduct quantity surveying to estimate materials, labour, and costs for accurate budgeting.
• Coordinate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to interpret plans and implement adjustments.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and initiate corrective actions.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
• Review and approve daily reports, timesheets, and material usage records.
• Inspect workmanship and materials for compliance with quality standards.
• Manage procurement of materials and equipment, negotiating with suppliers for cost efficiency.
• Facilitate communication among team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
• Apply problem‑solving skills to resolve technical or operational challenges.
• Implement sustainable construction practices where applicable.

Required profile

• DAE Civil or BE/BSC Civil degree.
• Minimum five years of experience in construction management.
• Proven ability to lead a team of 20+ personnel.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes and safety standards.
