Consultant Radiologist

About the role

The Consultant Radiologist will work full‑time on‑site at CIH–Capital International Hospital, providing independent interpretation of a broad spectrum of imaging studies. The role supports clinicians with accurate diagnostic information and participates in multidisciplinary decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Report and interpret X‑ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography and relevant nuclear medicine investigations.
• Collaborate with referring physicians to guide diagnostic and treatment plans.
• Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and provide imaging‑based consultations for complex cases.
• Oversee imaging protocols, quality assurance, radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Mentor and train junior medical staff and radiology technologists as needed.
• Be available for on‑call or extended‑hours coverage according to departmental requirements.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate qualification in Radiology (e.g., FCPS, FRCR, MD) with valid registration on the relevant medical council.
• Proven experience in a hospital‑based, multi‑specialty radiology department.
• Strong clinical knowledge to correlate imaging findings with patient history.
• Commitment to patient safety, quality assurance and evidence‑based guidelines.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary collaboration.

Required skills

• Interpretation of X‑ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI studies.
• Proficiency in mammography (screening and diagnostic).
• Competence in nuclear medicine imaging where applicable.
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS platforms and hospital information systems.
