Credit Relationship Assistant Manager – Financial Institutions

About the role

The Credit Relationship Assistant Manager supports Relationship Managers in analysing credit risk, structuring facilities and managing the portfolio of Financial Institutions (FI) and Non‑Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI). The role involves close interaction with customers, risk and compliance teams, and ensures high‑quality credit proposals are delivered on time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and credit risk assessments for assigned FI/NBFI clients.
• Prepare and submit Credit Proposals (new, renewals, amendments) and Greenlight Memos.
• Liaise with Wholesale Risk Management and Compliance to resolve risk and regulatory queries.
• Maintain portfolio controls, assign risk ratings, and monitor covenants for early alerts.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders (RMs, SRMs, Business Support) to reduce turnaround time and ensure error‑free submissions.
• Produce routine and management reports on limits, exposure, and allocations.
• Support RM teams with ad‑hoc memos, information packs, and complex time‑bound transactions.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical thinking, deductive logic and sound judgment.
• Thorough understanding of bank policies, regulatory, AML and compliance requirements.
• Effective stakeholder management across credit and risk functions.
• Decision‑making capability with guidance from senior management when needed.
