Data Architect – AWS

About the role

We are looking for a senior Data Architect with extensive AWS experience to define and lead our enterprise data architecture strategy. The role will shape large‑scale data platforms, ensure governance, and align technology with business goals across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Define and own the enterprise‑wide data architecture roadmap on AWS.
• Design scalable, secure batch and real‑time data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, and lakehouse solutions.
• Architect ETL/ELT pipelines using AWS Glue, Amazon EMR (Spark), Lambda, and orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow (MWAA).
• Build data warehousing solutions on Amazon Redshift and manage storage with Amazon S3 and DynamoDB.
• Establish data modeling standards (dimensional, Data Vault, hybrid) and governance frameworks using AWS DataZone.
• Lead architecture governance forums, conduct design reviews, and set best practices for performance, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
• Define security architecture in line with compliance requirements.
• Provide technical leadership, mentor data engineers, and collaborate with business and executive stakeholders.

Required profile

• 12+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture.
• Proven track record designing enterprise‑scale data platforms on AWS.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross‑functional leadership skills.
• Experience leading large data engineering teams in Agile/SAFe environments.
