Data Engineer - Informatica Power Center

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer specialized in Informatica PowerCenter to design, develop, and maintain robust ETL solutions. The role involves working with multiple data sources, ensuring reliable data movement, and supporting data‑warehouse initiatives across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter.
• Create and manage mappings, mapplets, sessions, and workflows.
• Extract, transform, and load data from diverse source systems into data warehouses.
• Write complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation.
• Perform data cleansing, quality checks, and validation.
• Monitor ETL processes, troubleshoot job failures, and resolve production issues.
• Optimize Informatica mappings and workflows for performance and scalability.
• Document source‑to‑target mappings and technical specifications.
• Support unit testing, integration testing, UAT, and production deployments.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and database teams.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of hands‑on experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
• Strong knowledge of ETL concepts, data warehousing, and data integration.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Data Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Informatica PowerCenter (Designer, Workflow Manager, Workflow Monitor, Repository Manager).
• Informatica transformations: Lookup, Expression, Aggregator, Joiner, Router, Update Strategy, Sorter, Source Qualifier.
• SQL programming and performance tuning.
• Unix/Linux shell scripting (preferred).
• Familiarity with Informatica IICS/IDMC, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, or Kafka (advantage).
