Data Protection Officer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Protection Officer to lead privacy compliance for a global IT services and consulting client. Working remotely, you will design and enforce data protection strategies, ensuring that personal data is handled in line with international regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain data protection policies aligned with GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA and other global privacy laws.
• Conduct regular audits, assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) to verify compliance.
• Act as the primary contact for data‑protection queries from internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Monitor, report and mitigate data‑protection risks, recommending corrective actions.
• Deliver training and awareness programmes on privacy best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
• Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM or CISSP are preferred.
• Proven experience with privacy‑by‑design frameworks and conducting DPIAs.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities to identify compliance gaps.
