Debt Collection Officer

About the role

IBS Business Solution Pvt Ltd, a Karachi‑based debt collection and recovery agency serving clients in the UAE, is looking for a Debt Collection Officer. You will manage assigned accounts, communicate with customers, and support timely recovery while preserving client relationships and adhering to company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Contact customers through approved channels to discuss overdue balances and payment options.
• Review account records, verify outstanding amounts, and maintain accurate collection notes.
• Negotiate practical repayment arrangements within company guidelines and document commitments.
• Follow up on promised payments, monitor account status, and escalate complex or disputed cases.
• Coordinate with internal teams, providing clear updates on recovery progress and account outcomes.
• Handle all customer interactions professionally, respectfully, and confidentially.

Required profile

• Practical knowledge of debt collection, credit control, payment follow‑up, and account recovery procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for handling sensitive conversations.
• Ability to review statements, identify discrepancies, and explain balances clearly.
• Confident negotiation skills for arranging realistic payment plans.
• Accurate record keeping, case documentation, follow‑up scheduling, and status reporting.
• Professional judgment when handling disputes, complaints, escalations, and confidential information.
• Comfort using spreadsheets, customer databases, collection systems, and standard office software.
• Resilience, attention to detail, target orientation, and adherence to ethical recovery practices.
