Deputy Director (SRD Provincial Coordination)

About the role

Pakistan Single Window (PSW) is recruiting on behalf of the National Agri-Trade and Food Safety Authority (NAFSA) for a Deputy Director (SRD Provincial Coordination) position. NAFSA is being set up as a national initiative to strengthen Pakistan's agri-trade ecosystem through better regulatory oversight, facilitation and modernisation of food safety and trade processes. The selected candidate will join NAFSA's foundational team, helping build its systems, processes and institutional capabilities. The workplace is on site.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between NAFSA's SRD unit and provincial departments and regulators to ensure coherent national implementation of SPS standards and regulations.
• Coordinate the dissemination of SRD instruments (rules, standards, SOPs, technical instructions) to provincial counterparts and track acknowledgements and adoption progress.
• Monitor how provinces implement notified SRD measures, identify gaps, capacity needs and compliance issues.
• Support harmonised interpretation of SPS requirements across provinces through guidance notes and coordination meetings.
• Compile provincial feedback and operational issues and help improve regulatory instruments.
• Maintain a coordination log of provincial communications, implementation status and corrective actions.
• Support training or awareness sessions for provincial stakeholders, in coordination with SRD and CSW training functions.
• Carry out other duties assigned by the reporting officer.

Required profile

• Master's or MPhil (minimum eighteen years of education) in Agriculture Sciences, Veterinary, Food Science or an equivalent relevant discipline.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience in SPS regulation or implementation, government coordination, or regulatory programme management.
• Ability to work across federal-provincial structures.

• Understanding of SPS frameworks and inter-agency coordination requirements.
