Deputy Manager – Mechanical (Boiler & Water Treatment)

About the role

We are looking for a Deputy Manager – Mechanical to lead the maintenance of our boiler and water‑treatment plant. The role ensures continuous power production by overseeing equipment reliability, planning outages and driving cost‑effective maintenance practices.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain boiler, auxiliaries, pumps and mechanical accessories in the water‑treatment plant and HFO day tank.
• Plan, supervise and execute forced and scheduled outages in coordination with operations.
• Develop and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all equipment maintenance.
• Introduce improved, economical methods and record all maintenance activities (monthly, SAP reports).
• Prepare the annual departmental budget, manage spares inventory and monitor consumption.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental rules, including permit‑to‑work systems.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance staff and handle administrative tasks such as attendance and leave.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the power sector, preferably with boiler and water‑treatment plant operations.
• Proven ability to plan preventive and corrective maintenance and to manage budgets.
• Experience in safety compliance and permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Strong people‑management skills to supervise and support maintenance teams.
