Deputy Manager – Mechanical Maintenance

About the role

The Deputy Manager Mechanical will lead the maintenance of boilers, auxiliaries and related mechanical equipment in a power generation environment. You will ensure continuous plant operation by planning, supervising and executing both routine and outage maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain boilers, auxiliary systems, water‑treatment pumps and HFO day‑tank equipment.
• Plan, supervise and execute forced and scheduled outages in coordination with operations.
• Develop, update and enforce SOPs for equipment maintenance.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance actions, including monthly and SAP reports.
• Promote a zero‑LTI safety culture and ensure compliance with permit‑to‑work procedures.
• Prepare preventive and corrective maintenance plans, manage spares consumption and monitor budget usage.
• Assist in annual budget preparation and procurement of required materials.
• Manage and support maintenance staff, handling attendance and leave administration.

Required profile

• B.E. in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 1 year experience in the power sector, preferably thermal.
• Hands‑on experience with boiler and auxiliary equipment maintenance.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and BQPS‑I rules.
• Ability to prepare budgets, manage spares and lead a maintenance team.
