DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a skilled DevOps Engineer to support and optimise the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and automation systems of a high‑traffic retail e‑commerce platform. The role focuses on building secure, scalable, and reliable software delivery processes while improving system performance and operational efficiency across development, staging, and production environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Automate provisioning, configuration and scaling of cloud resources.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and deployment.
• Manage secure deployments across development, staging and production environments.
• Operate Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, including Helm chart development.
• Implement monitoring, logging and alerting solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline releases and ensure reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering.
• Experience with AWS, Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong background with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Bitbucket Pipelines.
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
• Solid scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell.
• Understanding of networking concepts (VPC, load balancing, DNS, CDN).
• Experience in high‑traffic e‑commerce environments is a plus.
