DevOps Engineer – Remote (2‑3 years experience)

About the role

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to join MBUDevs’s remote team. The role focuses on automating deployments, managing cloud infrastructure, and ensuring reliable, scalable services. You will work closely with developers to streamline CI/CD pipelines and maintain high‑availability environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated software delivery.
• Manage and monitor cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation or similar IaC tools.
• Deploy, configure and maintain containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor application performance, system health and infrastructure using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, CloudWatch or Datadog.
• Ensure high availability, scalability and security of production environments.
• Collaborate with developers to streamline release processes and troubleshoot deployment issues.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery and security best practices.
• Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, deployment processes and system architecture.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or related field.
• 2–3 years of professional experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role.
• Strong Linux/Unix administration skills.
• Hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Good understanding of networking concepts, DNS, load balancing, firewalls and SSL/TLS.
• Experience with web servers (Nginx, Apache) and monitoring/logging solutions.
• Proficient in version control (Git) and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of security best practices and DevSecOps principles.
