Director of Academics – Remote

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a senior academic leader to shape and execute its evidence‑based learning model. The Director of Academics will own the academic strategy, translate learning science into operational practice, and champion the approach on a global stage.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that integrate learning science with curriculum, motivation systems, and app development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and measurable outcomes across school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments that identify barriers to accelerated learning and propose actionable solutions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning, feedback loops, and milestone oversight focused on student learning objectives.
• Serve as the external ambassador, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with ministries of education to promote systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Proven track record of leading academic initiatives that produce measurable student outcomes.
• Experience managing high‑performing teams in diverse school environments.
• Strong public speaking and advocacy skills at senior‑level forums.
