Director of Embedded Systems Engineering

About the role

TeReSol (Private) Limited is looking for an experienced Director of Embedded Systems Engineering to lead complex embedded systems projects from concept and design through development, integration, testing and delivery. The role suits someone with deep embedded hardware and software expertise, strong project management skills and a proven record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams. Two positions are available in DHA Phase II, Islamabad.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic and technical leadership for end-to-end embedded systems projects.
• Lead project planning, execution, budgeting, resource allocation, risk management and on-time delivery.
• Oversee embedded software and firmware, hardware design, system architecture and hardware-software integration.
• Guide teams in C/C++, microcontrollers, SoC integration, Embedded Linux and RTOS.
• Supervise co-design, PCB integration, board bring-up, peripheral interfacing and system troubleshooting.
• Ensure deliverables meet technical specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
• Manage engineering teams and coordinate with senior management, clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor technical leaders and promote innovation and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 15 years of relevant experience in embedded systems engineering and development.
• Substantial experience leading large-scale embedded projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven ability to manage project lifecycles, technical resources and deliverables.

Required skills

• C/C++ and low-level embedded programming; hands-on experience with ARM Cortex-M, AVR, PIC and other microcontrollers and SoCs.
• Embedded Linux and RTOS, including FreeRTOS and Zephyr.
• Device drivers, communication protocols and peripheral interfacing.
• Debugging and testing tools such as GDB, JTAG, oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
• System-level integration, verification, validation and troubleshooting.
