Director of Plant Engineering & Maintenance

About the role

The Director of Plant Engineering & Maintenance will provide strategic leadership for plant engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of five engineering and maintenance professionals, set priorities and performance objectives.
• Develop and implement preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance strategies to maximize equipment uptime.
• Oversee root‑cause analysis of equipment failures and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Manage maintenance budgets, spare‑parts planning and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with ISO, quality, health, safety and environmental standards.
• Drive continuous improvement through TPM, Kaizen and 5S initiatives.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant plant engineering and maintenance experience.
• Strong leadership, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven experience with cost optimisation and continuous improvement methodologies.

Required skills

• SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) for planning, scheduling and performance monitoring.
• Preventive and predictive maintenance techniques.
• Root‑cause analysis (RCA/RCCA).
• TPM, Kaizen and 5S methodologies.
