Distribution Manager

About the role

The Distribution Manager will lead end‑to‑end supply chain and logistics operations for both cold‑chain and ambient pharmaceutical products. Reporting to senior leadership, the role ensures high service levels, product integrity and cost‑efficient distribution across multiple depots.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement strategic replenishment models, network optimisation and inventory positioning to improve market responsiveness.
• Oversee multi‑location distribution networks, managing warehouse operations, depot performance and route planning.
• Coordinate cold‑chain and ambient distribution planning, ensuring compliance with temperature‑control standards.
• Align replenishment activities with demand planning and sales forecasts to minimise stock‑outs.
• Resolve real‑time supply issues, including short shipments, disruptions and urgent replenishment needs.
• Lead cross‑functional teams and collaborate with procurement, planning and logistics partners.
• Manage vendor and transporter relationships, monitor performance and enforce SOPs and KPIs.

Required profile

• 8‑12 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry’s supply chain and distribution functions.
• Proven track record in optimizing warehouse capacity, route planning and cost reduction.
• Strong analytical mindset with ability to translate demand forecasts into actionable replenishment strategies.
• Leadership experience with cross‑functional coordination.
