Education Counsellor – Study Abroad Guidance

About the role

IE Destination is seeking a full‑time Education Counsellor to join its Karachi office. You will guide prospective students through every step of the study‑abroad journey, from identifying academic goals to securing university admissions and visas.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one counselling sessions to assess student aspirations and recommend suitable programmes and institutions.
• Review academic records, assist with application documentation, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Provide clear information on admission requirements, timelines, and visa processes for destinations such as the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and the EU.
• Coordinate with partner universities and internal teams to facilitate smooth application flows.
• Organise information sessions, maintain accurate records in the CRM, and follow up with students and families.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business or a related field.
• Strong counseling and advising abilities with excellent spoken and written English.
• Organisational skills to manage multiple applications and deadlines.
• Ethical conduct, confidentiality and an inclusive approach to diverse backgrounds.

Required skills

• Proficiency with computers, online platforms and CRM/student management systems.
• Knowledge of international education systems, admissions processes and visa requirements (highly beneficial).
