Electrical Inspector for LV & MV

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to lead inspection and verification activities for low‑voltage (LV) and medium‑voltage (MV) electrical systems in refinery and petrochemical environments. The role involves ensuring compliance with IEC standards, local codes, and hazardous‑area requirements throughout installation, testing, and commissioning phases.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect and verify LV and MV switchboards, distribution panels, and related equipment against approved drawings and specifications.
• Witness and validate installation, testing, and commissioning of LV/MV systems, including cable terminations, bus‑bar connections, and protective relays.
• Conduct and document insulation resistance, high‑potential, and continuity tests on cables and equipment.
• Review and confirm protection relay settings, coordination studies, and protective device configurations.
• Ensure compliance with hazardous‑area classification and Ex‑certification for all LV/MV installations.
• Oversee functional testing such as interlock verification and emergency‑shutdown procedures.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering with strong IEC knowledge.
• Minimum 10 years of hands‑on LV/MV inspection experience in oil & gas projects.
• Proven experience in commissioning, QA/QC, and protection system verification.
• Valid certificates and documentation to be provided with the CV.

Required skills

• IEC 60364 and IEC 60947 standards.
• LV/MV switchboard and distribution panel inspection.
• Cable termination, bus‑bar, and protective relay testing.
• Insulation resistance, high‑potential, and continuity testing.
• Protection relay settings and coordination studies.
• Hazardous‑area classification and Ex‑certification compliance.
