Electrician – Maintenance & Operations

About the role

Wärtsilä is seeking a skilled electrician to support the operation and maintenance of its marine and energy facilities at the SNPC site in Nooriabad, Pakistan. The role involves hands‑on work on electrical systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring safe, reliable service.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the shift/electrical engineer with daily operation and maintenance tasks.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and code specifications to plan wiring layouts.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults in electrical and electronic systems, replace defective components.
• Perform repair work on motor windings, electrical equipment and control panels in the workshop.
• Install, replace and repair lighting fixtures, switches, relays and circuit‑breaker panels.
• Conduct safety‑compliant testing of circuits using appropriate test equipment.
• Carry out any additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant electrical maintenance experience.
• Hands‑on experience with internal combustion engine maintenance.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments used in engine overhauls (advantageous).
• Strong awareness of quality, health, safety and environment standards.
