Engineering Project Manager

About the role

The Engineering Project Manager will lead end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale engineering projects in Pakistan, overseeing site mobilisation, design review, execution, commissioning and handover while ensuring compliance with schedule, quality and budget.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle from mobilisation to final handover, controlling timeline, cost and quality.
• Obtain and maintain all local permits, NOCs, environmental approvals and statutory clearances.
• Implement and enforce HSE standards and coordinate site security and emergency response plans.
• Administer FIDIC‑based contracts, handling variation orders, extensions of time, cost control and cash‑flow management.
• Procure, onboard and supervise local subcontractors and field labour, fostering positive labour relations and community engagement.
• Serve as primary liaison with clients, consultants, government authorities, utilities and JV partners.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil/Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or related field.
• Active registration with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC); PMP certification highly desirable.
• Minimum 8 years of engineering project management experience, including at least 3 years of on‑site management in Pakistan.
• Prior involvement in CPEC, power, infrastructure or industrial construction projects is preferred.
• Fluent in English (written & spoken); Urdu fluency is an advantage.
• Strong cross‑cultural leadership, crisis management and stakeholder negotiation abilities.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of FIDIC contract conditions.
• Proficiency with MS Project.
• Proficiency with Primavera P6.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD.
