Estimation & Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Estimation & Design Engineer to join our Estimating Department. The role supports cost analysis, bid preparation, and material procurement for electrical and MEP projects, ensuring that each project is delivered within budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Perform detailed cost estimating, planning, and schedule development for new projects.
• Execute equipment and material take‑offs, request and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare final cost estimates, scope of work, and comprehensive bid packages.
• Analyze proposals for profitability and align them with company objectives.
• Identify value‑engineering and cost‑saving opportunities and present them to clients.
• Raise and resolve RFIs to eliminate document discrepancies.
• Create shop drawings and build sheets using AutoCAD during execution.
• Participate in stakeholder meetings to provide updates and incorporate engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in MEP design or estimation.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledge of electrical power distribution, residential load distribution, and applicable electrical codes.
