Excel Specialist (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Excel Specialist to join a leading financial services firm on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while delivering high‑impact financial models and automated reporting solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain complex Excel financial models for forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
• Create automated reporting tools using VBA macros and Power Query to streamline manual processes.
• Validate, cleanse, and ensure the integrity of financial data across multiple datasets.
• Collaborate with finance and operations teams to translate business requirements into functional spreadsheet solutions.
• Document formulas, assumptions, and processes to guarantee reproducibility and transparency.

Required profile

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data validation.
• Proven experience writing and debugging VBA macros for automation.
• Strong understanding of financial modeling principles and Excel’s Power Query/Pivot tools.
• Ability to interpret business needs and convert them into effective spreadsheet solutions.
• Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accurate financial calculations.
