Executive – Equipment Control (Operations)

About the role

Join the Operations team at Ocean Network Express (ONE) as an Executive, Equipment Control. You will manage container equipment, improve asset utilisation, and turn operational data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile equipment with terminals and off‑dock yards to maintain accurate container inventory.
• Monitor empty‑container stock, identify long‑stay and idle equipment, and support actions to improve turnaround.
• Maintain up‑to‑date container movement and equipment status records in OPUS.
• Coordinate equipment movements, inventory discrepancies, and operational exceptions with terminals, depots and internal stakeholders.
• Support container maintenance and repair activities, verifying depot documentation and invoices.
• Extract, reconcile and visualise operational data for regular reporting and decision‑making.
• Identify cost‑optimisation opportunities through data analysis and effective equipment control.
• Assist with day‑to‑day Equipment Control workflows and ad‑hoc operational tasks.

Required profile

• Diploma in Maritime Studies, Shipping, Logistics, Supply Chain or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in maritime transportation, shipping, logistics or equipment operations.
• Familiarity with container equipment, depot operations, terminal processes and empty‑container management.
• Knowledge of IICL standards and cargo‑worthy inspection; IICL certification is a plus.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem‑solving ability and attention to detail.
• Highly organised with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis).
• Google Workspace applications.
