Executive IP Core Configuration Manager

About the role

The Executive IP Core Configuration Manager will oversee the nationwide operation and maintenance of the MPLS core network, ensuring a 99.999% availability target. The role involves daily configuration tasks, performance monitoring, and providing technical support to regional teams and peer departments.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain core transmission (IP MPLS) network availability at 99.999% and implement corrective actions.
• Support regional teams during core network implementation, QoS deployment for mission‑critical services, and network upgrades.
• Monitor core KPIs, conduct routine quality testing, and resolve issues permanently.
• Maintain up‑to‑date documentation of nationwide core connectivity, software assets, and spare parts inventory.
• Perform health checks, preventive and corrective maintenance, and coordinate emergency response with vendors.
• Lead network swaps to new technologies, review LLD and MOP documents, and approve major cut‑overs.
• Collaborate with IT, NSS, BSS, VAS, and OMC departments for integration and system upgrades.
• Manage commissioning, operations, and troubleshooting of IP MPLS networks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in core network operations.
• Strong teamwork, adaptability, time‑management, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of MPLS, OSPF, ISIS, BGP and layer‑2/3 networking.
• Experience with routing, switching, Ethernet, DCN planning and network configurations.
• Familiarity with Datacom NMS, 2G/3G/4G telecom technologies.
• Understanding of VAS, PS Core, CS Core, OCS network elements.
• Knowledge of CDN, FTTH deployment and related troubleshooting.
