Export and Guarantees Manager

About the role

The Export and Guarantees Manager leads the bank’s export trade‑finance and guarantee activities, ensuring compliance with international rules and delivering high‑quality service to corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end export trade‑finance transactions, including letters of credit, documentary collections and export bills, and ensure document compliance with UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522 and related regulations.
• Oversee issuance, amendment, extension, cancellation and settlement of bank guarantees and standby letters of credit, applying URDG 758 and ISP98 standards.
• Coordinate with correspondent banks, customers and internal departments to resolve discrepancies and meet service‑level agreements.
• Ensure AML, KYC and sanctions screening compliance, identify operational risks and support internal and external audits.
• Supervise and mentor the export and guarantees operations team, allocate workloads and conduct performance reviews.
• Serve as primary contact for customers, resolve queries promptly and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare operational, regulatory and management reports, monitor KPIs and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Banking, Business Administration, Commerce or a related field.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP, URC 522, URDG 758 and ISP98.
• Experience with export letters of credit, documentary collections and bank guarantees.
• Proficiency in AML, KYC and sanctions screening procedures.
• Familiarity with trade‑finance documentation and regulatory reporting.
