Export/Import and Accounts Officer

About the role

The Export/Import and Accounts Officer will manage all documentation and operations related to international trade while supporting core accounting functions. This full‑time position combines logistics coordination with financial record‑keeping to ensure smooth cross‑border transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and manage export/import paperwork, coordinate shipments and liaise with freight forwarders and customs brokers.
• Handle banking transactions, including letters of credit, collections, and remittances.
• Maintain general ledger entries and perform bank/counter reconciliations.
• Process tax filings, VAT/Sales Tax/GST compliance and related documentation.
• Review and manage vendor and customer agreements and contract documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in export and import documentation.
• Solid background in accounts, general ledger bookkeeping, and bank reconciliation.
• Familiarity with banking instruments such as LCs, collections and remittances.
• Knowledge of tax compliance (VAT, Sales Tax, GST) and filing procedures.
• Ability to work with agreements and contract documentation.
