Facilitator / Class Teacher

About the role

The Facilitator / Class Teacher will deliver child‑centered, trauma‑informed lessons to support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth. You will create a safe, inclusive classroom environment where every child feels valued and motivated to learn.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, student‑focused lessons aligned with curriculum standards.
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes safety and respect.
• Monitor student progress, maintain academic records, and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare lesson plans and teaching materials tailored to diverse learning needs.
• Assess students regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to enhance student learning.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities.
• Uphold classroom discipline and school policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Early Childhood Development, Social Sciences or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Passion for working with children and promoting active learning.
• Basic computer proficiency.
• Preferred teaching or community facilitation certificate and experience with trauma‑informed practices.
