Facility Head – In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD)

About the role

The Facility Head will lead the LDS facility, overseeing production, warehouse, quality assurance, quality control and administration to ensure efficient, compliant and safe operations in the In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) sector.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day operations across all departments, ensuring smooth functioning.
• Lead and coordinate Production, Warehouse, QA, QC and Administration teams.
• Monitor production output, capacity utilization, inventory levels and resource use.
• Ensure compliance with GMP, GLP, SOPs and IVD/pharmaceutical regulatory requirements.
• Work with QA/QC on deviations, CAPA, audits, investigations and change controls.
• Oversee facility infrastructure, utilities, maintenance, housekeeping, security and safety.
• Track departmental KPIs, identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
• Drive cost optimisation, process improvement and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with senior management on budgets, facility requirements and improvement projects.
• Prepare the site for internal, external, regulatory and customer audits.
• Conduct regular meetings with department heads and report performance to senior management.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, compliance and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Operations, Business Administration, Pharmacy, Life Sciences or related field.
• 14‑16 years of relevant experience, preferably in IVD, pharmaceutical, medical devices or diagnostics.
• Proven experience in facility or site management and cross‑functional operations.
• Strong understanding of GMP, quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience overseeing Production, Warehouse, QA, QC and Administration functions.
