Finance & Imports Manager

About the role

Al Madina Enterprises is seeking a hands‑on Finance & Imports Manager to oversee the full spectrum of accounting activities and manage import operations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable closing the books as well as navigating customs procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the complete accounts function, including bookkeeping, ledger management, and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Handle all taxation matters such as sales tax, income tax, withholding tax, and annual return filing.
• Prepare financial reports, MIS, management accounts, and ensure compliance reporting.
• Manage receivables through credit control, collections, and aging analysis.
• Oversee import documentation, including letters of credit, bills of lading, invoices, and customs paperwork.
• Coordinate with banks for LC opening/amendments, funding lines, and reconciliations.
• Liaise with clearing agents to ensure end‑to‑end shipment clearance and follow‑up.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (ACC​A/CA‑Inter/ICMA a plus).
• 3‑4 years of experience in accounting and import operations.
• Strong knowledge of taxation laws, SBP import regulations, and banking instruments (LC/LG).
• High attention to detail, ownership mindset, and ability to work independently.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP or accounting software such as Odoo, SAP, or QuickBooks.
