Financial Accounting Lecturer

About the role

SKANS School of Accountancy is seeking a full‑time Lecturer in Financial Accounting for its Islamabad campus. The position is a contract role based on‑site, focused on delivering high‑quality lectures, preparing lesson plans and supporting student success in professional accounting programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lectures on financial accounting topics aligned with CA, ACCA, CFA and other professional syllabi.
• Design and update lesson plans, teaching materials and assessments (assignments, quizzes, exams).
• Assess student performance, provide constructive feedback and offer academic mentoring.
• Participate in curriculum development and ensure content reflects current accounting standards and practices.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to departmental meetings and academic initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in accounting and finance with thorough knowledge of financial accounting principles and standards.
• Proven experience lecturing or teaching at tertiary or professional education level.
• Background in economics to contextualise financial reporting.
• Relevant professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CFA) or a master’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
• Excellent communication, presentation and organisational abilities.
• Commitment to ethical, student‑centred teaching and continuous professional development.
