Financial Controller – Nonprofit (Karachi)

About the role

The Financial Controller is a full‑time, on‑site position at Kiran Foundation’s head office in Lyari, Karachi. The role oversees financial operations, ensures robust controls, and supports the organization’s mission‑driven programs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and manage accounting records, including the general ledger.
• Oversee budgeting, cash‑flow management, and financial reporting processes.
• Monitor compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
• Support internal and external audits and produce timely management reports for leadership and donors.
• Collaborate with program and administrative teams to analyze financial data and advise on resource allocation.
• Implement process improvements and support grant and donor reporting.
• Maintain transparent, ethical financial practices aligned with the Foundation’s mission.

Required profile

• Strong accounting and finance background with experience in general ledger management and budgeting.
• Ability to prepare and interpret financial statements and perform accurate financial reporting.
• Advanced analytical skills for evaluating data, forecasting, and supporting strategic decisions.
• Experience in nonprofit or grant‑based financial management and donor reporting is highly beneficial.
• Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is an advantage.
• Demonstrated integrity and commitment to ethical financial practices.
