Financial Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Financial Software Engineer to join a global fintech leader and build a high‑performance financial platform. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to real‑time transaction processing and infrastructure resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy micro‑services that handle financial transaction processing.
• Optimize system performance to support high‑frequency data streams with low latency.
• Implement security controls and compliance checks for handling sensitive financial data.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate payment gateways and external APIs.
• Monitor system health and resolve production incidents in a 24/7 environment.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Python, Java or Go with experience in financial systems development.
• Experience building scalable backend services using RESTful APIs or gRPC.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, concurrency and fault tolerance.
• Familiarity with financial protocols such as ISO 20022, SWIFT or real‑time payment systems.
• Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and infrastructure‑as‑code tools.
