About the role

We are seeking a Remote Financial Software Engineer to join a global leader in financial services. The role focuses on building and maintaining core backend systems that process real‑time financial transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security measures to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues to minimise downtime and ensure reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience with financial transaction systems or payment processing platforms.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and API design.
• Familiarity with security best practices and financial compliance requirements.
