Front Desk Officer

About the role

We are seeking a professional, guest‑focused Front Desk Officer to manage daily front‑office operations at our Royal Inn Hotels in Karachi. The role ensures a seamless experience for guests from check‑in through check‑out, handling inquiries, payments and coordination with other departments.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome guests and manage smooth check‑in and check‑out processes.
• Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints professionally.
• Manage room allocations and coordinate with Reservations and Housekeeping.
• Maintain accurate guest records and update the hotel PMS.
• Handle cash, card and other guest payments accurately and prepare guest bills.
• Answer incoming calls and provide hotel information.
• Coordinate early check‑ins, late check‑outs, room changes and special requests.
• Promote room upgrades and relevant hotel services when appropriate.
• Monitor arrivals, departures and room status throughout the shift.
• Ensure proper shift handover and communicate pending matters.
• Maintain front desk records, cash balance and operational reports.
• Escalate maintenance, housekeeping or guest service issues to the relevant department.

Required profile

• Previous experience in hotel Front Office, Guest Services or a similar hospitality role preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Urdu.
• Professional appearance and strong guest‑handling skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with payments and records.
• Ability to handle complaints and difficult situations calmly.
• Comfortable working in rotational shifts and coordinating with different hotel departments.

Required skills

• Familiarity with hotel Property Management System (PMS).
• Basic computer skills.
