Frontend Engineer – Retail Banking Group

About the role

The Dev Engineer (Frontend) transforms design and product vision into working applications, directly influencing how users interact with Mashreq’s Retail Banking systems. Working in agile squads, the role delivers short‑cycle, high‑quality IT products for the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Contribute technical expertise to all sprint events (planning, refinements, retrospectives, demos).
• Consult the team to fulfil functional and non‑functional product requirements.
• Develop, unit‑test, and review IT products in line with customer expectations.
• Design, build, and automate functional, performance, resilience, and security tests.
• Perform life‑cycle management, including decommissioning of managed products.
• Improve continuous delivery processes and resolve incidents related to the product stack.
• Set up environments, deploy applications, and implement required changes.
• Configure monitoring of product usage by customers.

Required profile

• Past experience as a frontend developer building modern JavaScript‑based web applications.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in cross‑functional agile teams.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts.
• Problem‑solving ability to process and present complex information clearly.
