Full-Stack Engineer (Remote, Full-Time)

About the role

Smart Working is looking for a senior Full‑Stack Engineer to create a data‑heavy, map‑based product. You will primarily own the frontend experience while also contributing to backend services and an AI‑powered chat interface.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain the core UI, including interactive maps, chat, data tables and file‑upload flows.
• Build map‑centric interfaces that can render large feature sets using vector‑tile libraries.
• Display tabular results from spatial queries and manage file‑upload processes.
• Support backend development: API design, server‑side persistence and integration with the AI engineer.
• Contribute to the AI‑driven chat interface, handling latency and real‑time streaming challenges.
• Deliver measurable outcomes from onboarding through to production.

Required profile

• 5+ years of TypeScript full‑stack experience with React and Node.js.
• 2+ years building map‑centric frontends (Mapbox GL, MapLibre, Leaflet, deck.gl).
• 3+ years creating data‑heavy UI components such as tables, editors and upload flows.
• 4+ years designing backend services on PostgreSQL, including API design and typesafe query layers (Kysely, Prisma).
• Senior‑level professional experience (5+ years overall).
