Full-time Cook – On-site in Islamabad

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Cook to join our team at Himala Builder in Islamabad. This full-time, on-site position involves preparing daily meals for our staff, ensuring high standards of taste, presentation and portion control.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to assigned menus, maintaining quality and consistency.
• Clean, organize and maintain the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Store ingredients and supplies properly and manage basic inventory, reporting low stock levels.
• Assist with menu planning and coordinate meal times with relevant team members.
• Follow health and safety guidelines and operate kitchen equipment safely.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cook, Kitchen Assistant or similar in a canteen, staff kitchen or restaurant.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, safe handling of meat, vegetables and staples.
• Understanding of food hygiene, cleanliness and safe food storage practices.
• Ability to plan and prepare simple, balanced meals for groups on a regular schedule.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods and handle kitchen equipment safely.
• Basic literacy and numeracy for reading instructions and managing simple stock counts.
