Global Technical Lead – Women’s Apparel

About the role

Levi Strauss & Co. is seeking a Global Technical Lead to drive the development of women’s apparel from prototype through bulk production. The role blends deep technical expertise in fit, pattern making, and garment construction with close collaboration across design, product development, and vendor teams.

Key responsibilities

• Execute design concepts through prototype and bulk production while maintaining fit, quality, and measurement consistency.
• Develop, modify, and evaluate patterns using manual and computer‑aided tools, including grading and flat sketching.
• Create and maintain Tech Packs, measurement specifications, and related technical documentation.
• Conduct fit sessions with live models, diagnose fit issues, and implement pattern updates.
• Partner with vendors and internal teams to communicate fit, construction, and quality requirements and ensure accurate execution.
• Travel to vendor locations as needed to support fit development and production readiness.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (10+ years total).
• Minimum 7 years experience in women’s fit development for non‑denim and denim woven products.
• Proven ability to lead fit development, assess production feasibility, and resolve technical risks.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet calendar‑driven deadlines.

Required skills

• Manual and computer‑aided pattern‑making and grading.
• Proficiency with PLM systems, Excel, and Gerber Fit development.
• Experience with flat sketching and Adobe Illustrator.
• Familiarity with 3D design tools such as CLO preferred.
• Creation of Tech Packs and measurement specifications.
