Go Developer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Go Developer to join a leading software development firm on a contract basis. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to high-performance microservices and APIs that power real-time data processing.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services using Go to ensure scalability and reliability.
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservice architectures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, enforce architectural standards, and address security considerations.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement fixes to minimise downtime.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Go development experience.
• Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Strong grasp of concurrency, data structures, and algorithms in Go.
• Experience with version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerisation (Docker).
