Hardware Mechanical Design Associate

About the role

AIO is seeking a passionate Mechanical Engineer to join its on‑site hardware team. You will help design, prototype, and optimise mechanical components that power the company’s restaurant‑technology platform.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical parts, assemblies, and products using CAD software (NX Siemens preferred).
• Perform DFM and DFA analyses for prototypes and production runs.
• Support prototyping with 3D printing, CNC machining, and other fabrication methods.
• Collaborate with product design and electronics teams to ensure seamless integration.
• Prepare detailed drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Conduct tolerance analysis, material selection, and stress/thermal calculations as needed.
• Liaise with suppliers and vendors for part sourcing and manufacturing.
• Participate in testing, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and reliability standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Approximately 2 years of experience in product design and development.
• Proficiency with CAD tools, preferably NX Siemens.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as injection molding, compression molding, sheet‑metal fabrication, and CNC machining.
• Basic knowledge of FEA/CFD simulations (preferred).
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced startup environment.
