Head Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Head Accountant to lead our finance function. The role requires a strong banking background and the ability to manage all accounting activities while ensuring financial integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee end‑to‑end accounting operations, including month‑end and year‑end closures, financial reporting and budgeting.
• Manage cash flow, perform complex multi‑account bank reconciliations and maintain relationships with banking institutions.
• Ensure compliance with Pakistani tax regulations (FBR, Income Tax, WHT, Sales Tax) and timely filing of returns.
• Utilise modern ERP software to automate workflows, protect data integrity and streamline cross‑department reporting.
• Lead, mentor and supervise the accounting team to drive accuracy, efficiency and accountability.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of progressive financial and accounting management experience.
• Mandatory experience in the banking sector; experience in manufacturing or trading is a plus.
• Deep knowledge of local tax laws, corporate governance and FBR compliance.
• Strong analytical, leadership and problem‑solving abilities with the capacity to work independently.
