Head of Business Development – Payment Solutions

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic Head of Business Development to lead our payment solutions business in Karachi, driving growth and market expansion across banks, FinTechs, PSPs, telcos and enterprise merchants.

Key responsibilities

• Drive business development strategy, revenue growth and market expansion.
• Identify, develop and convert high‑value opportunities across banks, FinTechs, PSPs, telcos and enterprise merchants.
• Lead strategic client acquisition, partnerships, commercial negotiations and deal closures.
• Build and manage a strong pipeline of enterprise and strategic business opportunities.
• Drive merchant acquisition, new business development, upselling and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Develop and maintain senior‑level relationships with key clients, partners and industry stakeholders.
• Monitor business development performance, pipeline, revenue, transaction volumes and growth targets.
• Lead and mentor the business development/sales team to achieve agreed targets.
• Collaborate with Product, Technology, Operations, Finance and Risk teams to convert opportunities and deliver initiatives.

Required profile

• 14‑18 years of experience in Business Development, Sales or Revenue leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior role in Pakistan.
• Strong background in Payments, FinTech, Merchant Acquiring, POS or Financial Services.
• Proven track record of closing enterprise and strategic deals and delivering measurable revenue growth.
• Deep understanding of payment ecosystems, transaction‑based business models and enterprise sales cycles.
• Experience managing senior client relationships, strategic partnerships and business development teams.
• Excellent negotiation, strategic thinking and stakeholder management skills.
