Head of Risk & Governance

About the role

National Foods Limited seeks a senior leader to design, build and embed an enterprise risk management and governance capability, providing the Board and executive team with a clear view of risks to strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and obtain Board approval for the enterprise risk management framework, taxonomy, methodology, risk appetite and tolerance.
• Develop and maintain a Policy Governance Framework, including inventory, review cycles and exception processes.
• Facilitate top‑down and bottom‑up risk identification, maintain risk registers, define key risk indicators and produce quarterly risk dashboards for the Management Risk Committee and Audit Committee.
• Establish emerging risk scanning (geopolitical, trade, sanctions) and integrate regulatory obligations into the risk register.
• Own the business continuity and crisis management frameworks, conduct simulations and ensure readiness across sites.
• Coordinate combined assurance mapping with Internal Audit and embed risk assessment into capital projects, market entry and major contracts.
• Lead a Risk & Governance Champions network and deliver risk awareness sessions for senior leadership.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience, with at least 5‑6 years in enterprise risk management or risk advisory.
• Proven track record of building or materially rebuilding an ERM framework in a manufacturing, FMCG or multi‑site industrial environment.
• Experience preparing and presenting risk reports to a listed company’s Audit Committee or Board.
