Head of Sales

About the role

Simpaisa is looking for an experienced Head of Sales to drive revenue growth, expand the merchant portfolio, and lead the sales organization across its payment gateway and fintech solutions. The role combines strategic planning, partnership development, and team leadership to achieve aggressive market targets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to meet revenue, merchant acquisition, and transaction volume goals.
• Identify new market opportunities, customer segments, and partnership channels.
• Lead merchant acquisition efforts, building pipelines of enterprise, SME, and strategic partners.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships with merchants, banks, and key stakeholders.
• Build, mentor, and manage a high‑performing sales team, defining KPIs and performance metrics.
• Establish strategic partnerships with banks, fintechs, aggregators, and payment providers.
• Collaborate with product, operations, compliance, finance, and technology teams to ensure smooth merchant onboarding.
• Monitor sales performance, prepare reports for senior management, and use data‑driven insights to refine strategies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field; MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in sales, business development or commercial leadership within fintech, payments, banking or financial services.
• Proven track record of achieving revenue and merchant acquisition targets.
