Head of Technical

About the role

Delmec is seeking a Head of Technical to provide strategic and operational leadership for its global engineering function. Based in Karachi, the role will drive technical excellence, safety and compliance across telecommunications infrastructure, power systems and data‑centre projects worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Define and govern engineering standards, technical procedures, design principles and quality‑assurance frameworks.
• Act as the company’s technical authority, advising on complex engineering challenges, risk and best practice.
• Oversee engineering delivery for telecom towers, masts, base stations, power systems and data‑centre solutions, ensuring safety, compliance and client satisfaction.
• Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.
• Collaborate closely with project delivery, commercial and operations teams to align technical capability with business growth.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in engineering within the telecommunications or related infrastructure sector.
• Strong track record of establishing and maintaining engineering standards and quality frameworks.
• Demonstrated ability to manage large, multi‑disciplinary technical teams across international markets.
• Excellent strategic thinking with a focus on safety, compliance and client‑centric solutions.
