Head of Technology

About the role

KeyMik is looking for a hands‑on, strategic Head of Technology to shape the technical direction of its creator marketplace platform. This remote, full‑time position requires a high level of ownership, translating business goals into scalable, secure solutions while leading a growing engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the overall technology strategy, architecture, and engineering roadmap.
• Lead, mentor, and hold engineering team members accountable for delivery and performance.
• Translate product requirements into scalable, secure solutions and make critical decisions on architecture, tech stack, and integrations.
• Oversee platform development, optimization, scalability, and reliability.
• Establish engineering standards, workflows, testing, and deployment practices.
• Collaborate with founder, product, operations, and marketing to prioritize technical initiatives.
• Manage technical roadmaps, sprint priorities, and project timelines.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks, bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities.
• Supervise cloud infrastructure, monitoring, performance, and incident response.
• Manage third‑party integrations, APIs, payment systems, and analytics platforms.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering or a related technical field.
• 3+ years leading engineering teams or owning a significant technology function.
• Proven experience in fast‑paced startup, scale‑up, or product‑focused environments.
• Strong ownership mindset with the ability to work independently.
