Headend Operations Executive – IPTV

About the role

PTCL Group is looking for an experienced Headend Operations Executive to manage and maintain its IPTV headend infrastructure. You will ensure reliable performance of dish antennas, LNBs, encoders, IRDs and multi‑view monitoring systems while supporting service upgrades and disaster‑recovery drills.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain the IPTV headend, including power, cooling and HSE compliance.
• Coordinate with NOC, transport, IP network teams, vendors, commercial stakeholders and regulators (PEMRA, PTA).
• Manage relationships with IPTV content providers and media channels.
• Administer IP networking equipment – switches, routers and routing protocols.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, disaster‑recovery drills and support hardware upgrades.
• Lead channel upgrades, hardware enhancements and headend redesign initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science or related engineering field.
• Approximately three years of experience in IPTV operations or related field.
• Strong understanding of IP networking, routing and switching.
• Familiarity with IPTV platforms, middleware and set‑top box (STB) technologies.
