Headmistress – School Leadership Role

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and visionary Headmistress to lead our school and drive academic excellence, effective school management, and a strong culture of teaching and learning. The role involves overseeing curriculum implementation, staff development, and day‑to‑day operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the school.
• Ensure high standards of academic excellence in line with Cambridge curriculum requirements.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and administrative staff.
• Monitor curriculum implementation, lesson planning, assessments, and student progress.
• Promote a positive, inclusive, and student‑centered learning environment.
• Develop and implement academic and school improvement plans.
• Maintain strong communication and relationships with parents and stakeholders.
• Oversee day‑to‑day school operations and uphold discipline and professionalism.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field; M.Ed./B.Ed. preferred.
• 8–10+ years of experience in education, with significant leadership/management responsibilities.
• Experience working within a Cambridge school system is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of Cambridge curriculum, assessment, and academic standards.
• Proven leadership, team management, communication, and decision‑making abilities.
• Passionate about developing students, teachers, and the broader school community.
