Human Resources Manager

About the role

The client is an engineering consultancy delivering multi‑utility infrastructure design across electric, gas, and water networks. The Human Resources Manager will lead HR operations for the Islamabad office, ensuring consistent people management practices and supporting recruitment across Islamabad and Karachi.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day HR operations, maintaining professional and consistent processes.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, probation, performance, attendance, conduct and off‑boarding.
• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations, performance concerns and people‑management matters.
• Support implementation and maintenance of HR policies, compliance processes and best practices.
• Collaborate with department leads on resource planning, workforce needs, employee engagement and team development.
• Drive recruitment activities: sourcing, screening, interview coordination and support for hiring managers.
• Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
• Promote employee development, engagement, retention and workplace culture initiatives.
• Assist the Head of HR on international HR projects.

Required profile

• 5–7 years of HR experience, preferably in a fast‑growing organisation or engineering company.
• Strong background in HR operations, employee relations and supporting managers with people matters.
• Proven experience managing the employee lifecycle from onboarding to off‑boarding.
• Hands‑on recruitment experience, including sourcing and interviewing candidates.
• Excellent understanding of HR policies, compliance, documentation and best‑practice processes.
• High level of English communication, stakeholder management and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds across global teams.
• Strong organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple HR priorities.
